How did you discover Montessori?

My wife applied to be a teacher at WSM. They weren’t hiring, but she came home and told me that they were looking for a maintenance man, so I applied. That was 10 years ago.

Why do you love being part of the WSM community?

It feels like a small village of people that work together and have the same common goal. It took a while to get used to at first, but it feels good.

What about WSM attracted you to the school?

The fact that I was the first maintenance man they hired, which made me realize that I would be busy! It was a good challenge.

What are your credentials?

I was a long distance operator, lineman, splicer and installer for Southwestern Bell telephone company in Arkansas for 25 years, and I have my own small handyman business. I’ve been working with my hands all my life.
