How did you discover Montessori?

My sister’s son attended a Montessori school in Homestead, Florida

Why do you love being a Montessori teacher?

I love working with the children in nature and am inspired by their curiosity, insights, enthusiasm, openness and sense of community. I love that in a Montessori setting we are encouraged to observe the children, to follow their interests, to encourage their explorations. I also very much love Maria Montessori’s focus on and work towards peace.

What about WSM attracted you to the school?

My grandson was attending here and I appreciated his guide, Miss Kay, so much. My daughter in law told me there was an opening for employment and encouraged me to apply for the position. As the saying goes, the rest is history!
