How did you discover Montessori?
I moved to Kansas City to live and was in the process of searching for a teaching position when I saw an ad in the newspaper from the KC School District. They were looking for teachers to train. Upon completion of the training, they promised a teacher job within the district. I went to the interview shared my educational philosophy and was selected for the training. I had very little knowledge of the Montessori method and questioned my decision until I completed the first lecture of the training. I knew I had found my place.
Why do you love being a Montessori teacher?
Every day you experience the beauty and the wonder of the world through their eyes. There is no greater feeling than watching young people grow, develop, and become citizens of the world.

BA from Drury University in Elementary Education, AMI Elementary Diploma, AMI Adolescent Orientation Diploma, 30 years of teaching experience.
